THE VIOLENT: MATTHEW 11:12

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

 

This is a verse that has always stuck out to me (it is one of my memory verses) and at the start of this year I am getting the message from the Lord that I am to take territory. I have always felt this verse was associated with taking territory so when we were with our friends yesterday and speaking with the Lord, I asked the Lord through my friend’s gift of hearing God’s voice (she hears in a different way to me) for His explanation of Matthew 11:12

This was his answer

“There is violence around you and around all humanity, Violence that is unseen.  It is in the enemy’s interest to remain hidden because when the spiritual dimension is hidden then who will fight? But the time comes, is nearly upon you, when eyes are opened and then my church will realise that they are in a war zone and that they did not know it. And when you are in war you fight. And there will be clarity on what is effective and what is not and violence is a moment by moment reality in the spiritual. And those who walk in the Lords ways will violently take hold of the enemy and certainly destroy his kingdom.”

 

There is so much in this explanation.  We have been for a few years been getting the message from the Lord that He is going to open up more and more of His children to see in the Spirit.  When this happens we will see what really is going on in the spirit realm.

We will suddenly have a clearer perspective (2020 vision) of what is important in our walk with the Lord.

2 Timothy 2:4

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.

We will be about taking the territory in His Kingdom.

 

Why does Paul give us the following verse?

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

He gives it to us because Paul knew it was a spiritual battle. There is ground to take in the Kingdom in what the Lord is going to reveal to us and open up.  As he says in this opening word of prophecy “the time comes and is nearly upon us” when some will see.  2020 is a year of revelation and maybe we will see this word start to occur this year.

Whatever the timing the Lord makes it clear we are to walk in His ways.  There will be a time when some will see clearly in the spirit and when that occurs the effective tools of battle will be made known.

One of the key weapons is to walk in His ways.  Just read Deuteronomy chapters 7-9 to understand that requirement.  As it was for those going into the promised land back then, they were required to hold their ground by following the Lords Commandments and Statutes. So it will be for us as we take territory. We will need obedience.

It is an exciting time we go into in 2020.
