GENERATIONAL IMPACT

This can be a controversial topic and one that raises questions all the time.  I feel however that the Lord wants me to cover it.  He has given me so many pages of notes and scripture around it to emphasize to me the importance.  So in obedience I cover this now.

Throughout scripture the impact of our family and line on us is highlighted.  Is this by chance?  I don’t think so.  I love the way through Kings that the word says and “his mother was”.  Some of those mothers have some explaining to do.  Fathers to!

Our family soul ties can affect the way we walk in the calling and the blessing.

A soul tie or position of authority in the family has the ability to cause damage in the spirit through curses or actions.

Can you look back through your family and history to see issues or trends that continue to come around?  Can you look back through generations and see that the trend has been there?  Can you look at other families and see if issues in their families?

In a number of cases individuals in these families have been saved and cleansed through salvation by the blood of Jesus yet the same issues are still there.  Has this occurred in your life?  Do you still have family issues that are occurring even though you are saved?

 

What is going on here?  Why is this occurring?

I remember talking with the Lord one night as it struck me that when the apostles were waiting in the upper room they got the Baptism of the Spirit and they got the Baptism of Fire at the same time.  The flame was above them.  I recognised that I hadn’t received the Baptism of Fire.

I asked the Lord why did they get the Baptism of the Spirit and Fire at the same time and I didn’t?

His answer

“ you come from pagan lines and you have no idea of the things that are carried in your line. They didn’t come from these lines”

This absolutely flawed me and after some discussion highlighted the need for generational cleansing.  When we go back though the possibilities of our ancestors and what they have done you can imagine the sins and the ties they have made in the spiritual.  The ungodly soul ties and the sacrifices.  These are what impact your family and the curses and issues you see in the trends and patterns in your family and in your own walk.  They maybe financial patterns, sexual patterns, suicide, obesity whatever but they will be there and they didn’t disappear the day you were saved as they have never been repented for in your family.

 

There is a need to be cleansed of your genealogy issues.

Your family line, your Genealogy has an impact on your walk, your freedom.

 

One morning shortly after this word on the Baptism of Fire and pagan lines He wanted me to see in the last book of the Old Testament and the first book of the New Testament that genealogy is so important.

Malachi 1:2

“I have loved you,” says the LORD. “Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” Says the LORD. “Yet Jacob I have loved;

3 But Esau I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage For the jackals of the wilderness.”

 

Why does He hate Esau? Because he gave away his birth right. He didn’t value his line.

Chapter 1 finishes with

14 But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished—For I am a great King,” Says the LORD of hosts, “And My name is to be feared among the nations.

Cursed is the sacrifice of the blemish.

We are giving ourselves as living sacrifices. We can’t be blemished.

This includes our DNA which must be cleansed with repentance so there is no blemish.

If we want to have the kingdom of God within us, with every chamber clean, then this is part of it.

Interesting that this is the last book of the Old Testament that leads us into Jesus.

What is the first line of the New Testament?

Matthew 1:1

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:

Now why is genealogy the first line in the New Testament? Because the Lord wants us to understand the impact of genealogy on us just as it was essential to Jesus Christ.

Not by chance the Lord has this first.

 

Malachi 3:1

“Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts.

2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like launderers’ soap.

3 He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the LORD An offering in righteousness.

4 “Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem Will be pleasant to the LORD, As in the days of old, As in former years.

 

He comes to a temple that has been prepared and has been cleaned.

 

What about fathers?

Hebrews 6:8-14

Even Levi who receives tithes paid tithes through Abraham so to speak for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

In this scripture and story it is acknowledged that the actions of the father Abraham impacted the child. The blessings were passed on.

2 Samuel 7:14

I shall be his father and he shall be My son.  If he commits iniquity I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him.

… your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you.

Solomon was blessed because of DAVID HIS FATHER.

Deuteronomy 7:13

…He will also bless the fruit of your womb.

But just as there are blessings that pass from the line there are also curses that pass on.

2 Kings 22:13

…The wrath of The Lord against us because our fathers have not obeyed the word of The Lord…

 

Fathers have to walk in The Lord and all his ways.

If they don’t it impacts the children

 

Deuteronomy 11:19-23

19 “You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 “And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates,

21 “that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.

22 “For if you carefully keep all these commandments which I command you to do—to love the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways, and to hold fast to Him—

23 “then the LORD will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess greater and mightier nations than yourselves.

He gives us the answer here to how to prepare our children.  We are to walk in Him because this will impact our children not only in what we physically pass down to them but also spiritually what is passed down to them .

 

The Wineskin

New versus old.  We are expected to walk in our inheritance in our line but there is a way that we are to walk.

The Lord shows us in the story of Esau and Jacob the story of His church.

How much of His church is giving up their birth right (the Spirit) and all they are entitled to. They are born again and have the power and right of the Spirit yet they don’t take it and move in it. They are happy for the birth right to move somewhere else.

Now He is bringing Jacob along who is taking the birth right and moving in the Spirit. And it will cause disruptions.

This is the new wineskin the new man.

 

Genesis 6:9

This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations.

Noah walked with God.

If there was ever an argument for genealogical cleansing this is it. The line to Noah hadn’t been corrupted like all other flesh at the time so the Lord could use Him.

But even being clean genealogy Noah had to be walking right and walking with God.

Get these two right and you can walk as a son of God is supposed to walk.

Let’s be genealogy clean and let’s be walking with Him.

I shared this Noah idea with a friend and he had this thought

“So… just thinking… is the seeming “demonic corruption” in physical sense of all the other lines except Noah, a picture of the Spirit- level corruption of our lines?

The word I received

He says “this is a good analogy which is why what is seen in the Spirit is important. Coming from a clean line is essential for work done in the Spirit for the kingdom. I take the chosen.”

The question back

What, eh – so who are “the chosen” & where does He “take” them??

The word I received

From the clean blood lines and those who choose to walk with Me. So let’s get cleansing”  a vision of fire accompanied these words.

 

2 Kings 12:2

Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the LORD all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

3 But the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

Is this not the process we are doing? These people are doing the right thing but they have not removed the high places from their lives.

The altars, the incense, the idols.

They were not even aware of them as their ancestors had put them in place.

A number of these ancient kings followed the Lord and did right all their lives but because they didn’t remove the high places they didn’t achieve all for the kingdom and all that was written in their books. They hadn’t cleansed their lines of their ancestors’ actions.

Scriptures received to accompany His word

2 Corinthians 7:1

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 8:10

And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago;

11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.

12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

 

His word received

“I have given you the people I desire to be cleaned. Be excited for joy is coming. Though they are few they will slay many. Now complete the task sons and let’s conquer the land”

He asked us to do DNA cleansing with the people to prepare them to walk how they should walk.

Be blameless in your line, repent for the sins of the generations.

 

 A personal step for me (a few months ago)

I pray each morning through the cross and resurrection to thank Jesus and to be washed in His blood.

As I did this morning I thanked Jesus for descending and taking the keys before He ascended.

It was then revealed to me this prophetic act for us. He took the keys of death of Satan and rose again to be by the Father in the Kingdom.

When we go to the cross and really die to ourselves we are to take the keys of death and we enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus did it then, we get to do it now.

Yesterday in my DNA cleansing and prayer I was given so many keys that had been locked in my ancestors actions. At the end I was given one big key and asked to step prophetically through a door.

This is what I was doing taking a key and stepping into the kingdom of God.

 

James 1:21

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

 

Don’t be deceived, be cleansed by being doers and not hearers only.  He tells us in scripture over and over again the importance of being clean.

 

Psalm 23

Restoreth my soul

The implanted Word. It is in us before we get here. The kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21).

God is bringing this Word out of us so the Word becomes power. He is cleaning us of the filthiness and wickedness. He is cleaning our DNA. He is restoring our soul to Spirit.

We become doers because we are one with Him (the Word) and we don’t just hear.

Wow He makes the word so clear to us and tells us these things all the way through the bible.

 

 

Conclusion

Through the old and new testament we are shown again and again the importance of clean blood lines of our DNA being clean. 

Why wouldn’t we be obedient and do this?

How many patterns are occurring in you and your family that go back through the generations of your family?  You don’t know who your family has been married to in the past in the Spirit.

Why wouldn’t we want to walk in the power as they did in the upper room?

If you say the repentance prayers that go with this cleansing then you are cutting off these things.

Let us be clean.
