ENDURANCE

 

Woke up late this morning at 6.14 am

Went to pray and read

Holy Spirit said to me to read Hebrews Chapters 2-9. There are some key things in those chapters to understand.

Two verses really spoke to me during this time. After closing the Bible and praying, I went back to find those verses that stuck out and they were

Hebrews 6:14 and 6:15 (The time I woke up this morning)

¹⁴ saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”

¹⁵ And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

These verses were for me, and The Lord said they were for me to live by.

Awesome

 

This experience was a couple of years ago and the Lord continues to show me that the walk in His calling is an endurance event.  Last night in a prophetic word He said “I am not going to give you a lotto ticket as how do you stand in that when you are in the trenches fighting.”

A number of His children in the bible endured knowing that they would not see the fruit of their works in Him during their lifetime.  I bet they are watching now with interest.

 

(A Note from a Year Ago) Storm Last night

Last night there was a storm and lightning. This morning was beautiful. Storm before the peace.

1 Peter 5:10

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Suffering a while, and then peace

Trials before breakthrough and we need to endure through the trials.  How can you stand without endurance?

 

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Hebrews 10:35

Therefore do not cast away your confidence which has great reward.

V36 … need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise

V38  Now the just shall live by faith, But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

When you step into the calling you stay in to the end. Verse 38 above is very clear His soul has no pleasure in anyone who draws back.  Ouch a pretty clear message.  So you need to pace yourself for the end of the race and make sure you don’t put yourself in a position where you can’t endure.  This does not mean you don’t step out as there is no faith in that.

He expects us to be children of faith.

 

Don’t stop

Acts 18:3

So because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked.  He reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath.

Paul did the mundane, he worked, and he just kept doing what he knew to do for work (tent making).  He took the opportunities that came.  He didn’t for one minute stop and assume he had a word and a calling therefore that meant he didn’t do the day to day work.  He didn’t stop the day to day but he endured through.

Don’t make the mistake of assuming I have had a word I can wait on that and rest.  No he is not interested in couch potatoes as that doesn’t achieve what is written in your book.  He expects us to push on no matter the opposition.  No drawing back.

 

The Walk

Hosea 12:2-6

The Lord also brings a charge against Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his deeds He will compensate him, He took his brother by the heel in the womb and in his strength he struggled with God, Yes he struggled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and sought favour from Him.

He found Him in Bethel and there He spoke to us that is The Lord God of hosts.

The Lord is his memorable name, so you by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually.

This is the walk we have been on we have wrestled against God, we have wept and sought him we found him and he has spoken to us. And we wait on God continually. We have a rest and peace in God no matter what stage our walk is at.  We endure no matter what the circumstances are.  He knows what you are going through and He knows what you are giving up and enduring through.  He records it.

 

See it through to the end

Hebrews 6:11

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,

We push through and we give it all diligence. We don’t slow down.

Hebrews 6:12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Sluggish the opposite of endurance.

 

John 17:4

“I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.”

And this is why we don’t slow down we glorify Him and we get to the end of our life’s in this tent and we put ourselves in the position to be able to say this verse as we go home.  Just like Jesus did.

All these verses tie together.  There is a message He is giving us and it isn’t retirement, it isn’t sitting in cruise mode, it is about pushing through and completing what is written about you!!

 

There is no retirement in the bible.

 

Complete the task

Joshua 16:10

And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced labourers.

Joshua 17:13

And it happened, when the children of Israel grew strong, that they put the Canaanites to forced labour, but did not utterly drive them out.

Joshua 18:3

Then Joshua said to the children of Israel: “How long will you neglect to go and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers has given you?”

So don’t leave the enemy in the land, don’t neglect the task. They were in the promised land but they didn’t finish the task. They weren’t pushing on.

Don’t let me be like that Lord.  Let me absolutely endure to the end and complete the task.

 

Words from the Lord He gave me.

“I seek those who have persevered

I seek those who have a heart focused on me not looking left or right

I seek those who have prepared (ten virgins)

 

Then had a vision of reaping. A harvest will come to those are in the above state.

I intend to come upon my children and are you ready? Will you stand?

Vision of the Lord looking left and right for who is ready. Searching the hearts.

Parable of talents – who does he give what to but He gives to those who are about doing His work now with what they have been given.

Now none will miss out whose eyes are on me I bless all my children

There are some here who are on focused on me but have drifted. I ask that they come back and look at me not like a picture but like a lover. Be close.

This is my desire to see my children.

Romans 11:29

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

He has given you gifts.

Ecclesiastes 6:10

Whatever one is, he has been named already, For it is known that he is man; And he cannot contend with Him who is mightier than he.

You have been named get on with it.

Ezekiel 12:25

For I am the LORD. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass;

So as we intensify in our kingdom purpose and anointing it is written. It is not irrevocable we are in the calling.

So let’s not hold back but walk in excitement knowing this is who we are and we are named for this.

LET US ENDURE.
