BAPTISM OF FIRE

 

Why don’t we walk in the power of all that our Father has made available?

Why aren’t people healed in our shadows?

 

When I looked into this it became obvious to me that I was missing something.

I had been baptised in water, and baptised in the Holy Spirit but where was the fire. The more I looked the more I realised there was another baptism to receive.

Matthew 3:11

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

12 “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

I realised that the baptism of fire is a separate baptism so I sought it with all I had thinking it was just something that would come down on me like “pow”.

Then we got an interesting word that “the baptism of fire is sanctification.”

It is a process not a “pow”.

How many of us would have thought sanctification was a lot easier than it is?

It is a burning of all.

He does this to us as individuals. He has prepared us burning up the chaff.

He is thoroughly cleaning us out if we are prepared to let Him. He is burning up the chaff in us and around us. Nothing will be left but the wheat.

He wants it all every bit of us.

There is a third baptism. I want it.

Baptise us in fire Lord.

Hebrews 12:25

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”

27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

29 For our God is a consuming fire.

I feel the Lord is going to see which of us is not going to be shaken. He will remove those things that are shaken.

Those that are unshaken are receiving the Kingdom of God and the all consuming fire.

This is happening. I feel it around us at this time. He is going to shake it and burn it with fire if it is not of Him.  If we let Him!

Meditate on these verses there is so much here that He is doing right now in our lives.  Those that let the Lord burn everything away and leave only Him will end up with the fire. And they will walk in it like the apostles.  They had nothing left of them but all of God.

 2 Corinthians 7:1

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

When the fire is in us there is no sin. When the apostles walked under fire the darkness fled as the fire and light was too hard for the enemy to handle. It was all for the Lord for His purpose and glory.

 

Hebrews 10:9

then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.

Father take away this first tabernacle (my flesh) burn it with fire so that I may be face to face with you.

Let there be none of my flesh but all of you, your glory shining though me.

 

A revelation the Lord shared with me.

Genesis 3:24

So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Do you think that the baptism of fire is walking through this flame to the tree of life which is then being face to face with Him and knowing?

The sword every way. You can’t get to this place of knowing Him and being fully as we were meant to walk without going through fire. There is no other way.  Adam was driven out as there was darkness in Him so couldn’t walk as He was supposed to.

Hebrews 9:8

the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.

No flesh can enter the garden you need to be totally clean. The first tabernacle being us in the flesh can’t be standing.

 

Earth, water, air and fire

The enemy has robbed this term for the new age movement.

The way I look at it is we are born as earth, we have the baptism of water, the baptism of air (Holy Spirit) and then we have the baptism of fire.

We are just like pottery where clay from the earth is worked with water, dryed in the air and then fired.

If there is fault in the clay then the pot will crack under the fire. Just like us if the preparation isn’t correct then we will crack under the fire. There can’t be any imperfections in the clay

This is not an easy process.  Not for a second, because everything you know that is in you that is not of Him will be addressed and burnt up.  Are you prepared to go through this?  Be broken again and again like the clay until there is perfection.

We want to walk in all that the Lord has for us.  But we must go through the fire first.  This is a process that He takes us through for our own protection so that we will stand and we will glorify Him.  None of us all of Him.
