This is a time where we keep pushing ahead with persistence in His calling as there is breakthrough happening. Three of my friends I talked to this week are experiencing breakthrough in their life and are seeing things occur that they have been pushing into for years. I myself personally am also seeing some of the big words spoken over me by the Lord a number of years ago materialising around me.
On the other hand, I have spoken to other friends that are right in the thick of the battle but I sense they are on the brink of breakthrough, they are that close and a little more pushing ahead and the breakthrough will occur.
One of the common factors with all these people I know is their persistence. They have hung on in faith and kept pushing ahead over the years.
Luke 11:5-8
And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 ‘for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 “and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8 “I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.
Because of his persistence he will give “him as many as he needs”. God loves to see us pushing ahead and being consistent in our faith in Him. He uses this time to sanctify, to ready us and position us. He positions things around us in the world for what we are to do and then he releases and the persistence we have sees us step into our calling and destiny.
Luke 18:1
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ” 6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”
I love in this parable where the Lord will avenge them speedily. The widow’s persistence, our persistence has an impact. It can be years of walking towards a calling or a word but it is noticed and it has its rewards.
This season is part of Gods timeline and years of persistence is seeing breakthrough, action and results. You may feel you have been pushing in for an age but don’t stop now just keep going and watch Him move.
Remember also that sometimes the battle is really fierce just before the breakthrough but don’t be surprised how thin the veneer is that the enemy is using to deceive you as to how close you are to getting breakthrough.
One of my favourite passages in the bible is this one which tells you to move out of what you have
2 Corinthians 8:10-13
And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; 11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. 12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have. 13 For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened;
This is persistence. What can I do with what is around me? Remember The Lord feeding 5000 out of a few fishes and loaves. What can He do with what is around you if you move ahead in faith?
John 6:9-11
“There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” 10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.
At the moment I am pushing our business into a new country. The Lord has asked me to do this. I don’t have the budgets our competitors do but the Lord still wants me to go and to do it with what I have around me. This forces me to be innovative which is what He wants and it forces me to move in faith. He has taught me over the years to be persistent, to not stop (as long as I am in His will) but to hold on in Him. And He rewards that.
Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Understand the Lord has already spoken the things you are pushing into for Him
Romans 4:17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed–God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;
He speaks out things like they exist and we are to walk in faith. This is what He expects.
He is outside time and He sees all so to Him they exist.
The Lord wants us to understand this and to move in a persistent faith along these lines.
Romans 4:20-21
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Abraham believed God would perform. His part was to walk in faith, in persistence.
Philippians 1:6
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
1 Thessalonians 5:24
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
Persistence- receive the promise
Hebrews 10:36
For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise
Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith,
But if anyone draws back,
My soul has no pleasure in him.
Let’s not draw back now as you just don’t know how close you maybe to breakthrough. Push ahead out of what you have and get it done.
The words I get from the Lord at the moment “It is an exciting season for my children as the seasons move along and I am releasing the oil upon my children to enable breakthrough and penetration to occur so let’s not hold back now as I search across the earth and release to those who have stood in me and have suffered for me. Time is short for the plan I have now so let’s move and watch me blow upon the things I have put in place within you and through you. I will bless like never before and the statement on the earth will be tremendous in my anointed and appointed. Don’t stop now but move quickly into all I have. Go.”
I thank the Lord for you for giving me and others such words of encouragement. He who began a good work
is indeed faithful and able to carry it on to completion until the day of His coming. Thank you, and pray that my and others breakthroughs come, and that we may not go weary but wait on the Lord while in Him. Blessed be God ,for He is faithful.

As I read your comment I see a stone dropped in a puddle and the effect spreading out. You will observe this in your life now as you see the Lord has dropped the stone so you feel the effect. Be expectant.
