It strikes me this morning when we look around at what is going on in the world that it would be very easy to give up. To not have faith or not have trust in the Lord.
But as I think about this, I feel the Lord say to me it is time to see it through to the end. Not the end of the world but the end of what we have been working on during the last period of our life or maybe all of our life. The veneer between what you see currently in your world and your breakthrough I believe is very thin at the moment and we are about to experience major breakthroughs into the promises and words that have been spoken and declared over us.
Maybe you have been working on a task for ten years and you look around you at the moment and the battle is fierce, and things are in chaos but I feel the Lord would say this is not the end but in fact a last puff from the enemy before you step into the completion, the end of what you have been working on. It is not in fact the end but the beginning of your walk into what He has for you to do next. You have been obedient, you have trusted, you have co-laboured with the Lord and you have moved forward in faith. Our God will use you as He has seen how you have walked.
I am excited for this time because now the Lord will get the glory and His presence will be undeniable in all that is happening, in our lives, in others around us and in the world.
You get to walk in the promised land, you get to walk in your calling, you get to walk in power and anointing. As you get to completion and the end of your current tasks how you walk from here will be so important as to how you will get to enjoy it and participate in His Kingdom on earth and in heaven.
I was reading about Hezekiah this week
2 Chronicles 32:25-26 But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favour shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem. 26 Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
Hezekiah got to experience the Lord’s blessing, his salvation from the Assyrians, an extension to life.
He got to see some exciting ends to things that had been happening in his life. Then what happened
2 Chronicles 32:31 However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.
In time what Hezekiah did here didn’t work out well for Jerusalem. His heart was exposed to the Lord. When we walk in the successful endings of what God has given us how will our heart stack up? I encourage you to be humble, recognise God in it and glorify Him in your walk. Don’t receive the successful ending and then just sit but glorify the Lord by moving forward into the next thing He has for you. You have seen through something to the end and He will wish to use you for more now so be ready to do that. Don’t go off track.
John 17:4
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
Let’s look at another example in the bible in Solomon. Solomon was the completion end of a word for David as Solomon built the house for the Lord. He did many other things and He walked in the Lords blessing and completion of many things. But two things strike me about Solomon. Having done these things for the Lord He didn’t finish well. He didn’t finish his own life well and he went seriously off track in his walk. He also didn’t pass the legacy of what he had in the Lord onto his children. In fact, both these areas were a disaster in Solomon’s life.
You may be walking in the Lords blessing and be in a good place and be very comfortable. You have seen the end of things you have been put here to do. At this point don’t go off track but look for what is next. When you look at David he got to a point of blessing in his life where he had done a lot for the Lord. It was from a place of comfort where David chose not to go to war (to be at the front) but instead chose to sit in the comfort of the temple that he got in trouble with Bathsheba. How easy it would be to do that.
You maybe later in your life and have done a lot for the kingdom and completed the end of certain things but how have you set up your legacy, your children for what you are leaving behind. Is it set up for the Kingdom?
During this last week in one of my times with the Lord I suddenly got this clear vision of a footprint and the words “Make a Footprint”. I then got the revelation that I needed to make a footprint here on earth that would also be a permanent footprint in heaven.
It horrifies me to read about the kings in the bible who did so many things for the Lord’s kingdom but didn’t get this area right. They ended well a number of the things they were here to do and they followed after the Lord. Then their sons did not follow the Lord. What can we learn from this? I look for wisdom in this area for my children and grandchildren and the footprint I leave behind. I don’t think it is ever too late to pray into this area and look to bring things back on track if they aren’t.
How many kings (us) leave inheritances behind that our children aren’t prepared to handle. The bible shows many examples of where this in fact destroyed the children and damaged the Kingdom.
As you walk in the successful completion and endings enjoy that place but remember it is about more than us. Spend time with those who will pick up your legacy to ensure they can carry it.
I write this word as an encouragement because I have no doubt we are now coming into a period where we are all going to be blessed in successful endings of current tasks or even lifetime callings. Don’t give up now but push through that veneer and receive. As you enjoy this breakthrough and are in this time remember to step into what is next and to also set up the passing of the baton over the next number of years.
I get this word from the Lord to finish
“Much success and blessing come now to my children. The hard work will pay off and I will see much come to fruition. I know the hearts of my children and what they can carry and how they view the world and I will reward accordingly. It is never too late to step onto the path I have for them so I ask you now to seek me with all you have and I will show you the magnificence that I Am and you will experience what you have been waiting for. Be prepared, be excited and be ready for all that pours out.”
AMEN!!!
