We have received an interesting word in the last two weeks that really got me thinking about the great wisdom of God and how He deals with each of us and where we are at in our walk.
I was with friends and we were doing a prophetic words session and receiving words around things we are doing at the moment and the tasks we have underway (which are coming into fruition quickly in this season).
As I have mentioned before we have our part to do in these words. We have to step out in faith with works
James 2:22
Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
We have to give the Lord something to work with as it is a partnership. It is the parable of the talents in action.
This led me to my final question to the Lord for the night in this prophetic session. I asked Him if I was “hitting the mark”. The reason I asked this is that I have a lot of things I am doing at the moment in the calling He has asked me to step into. Because of this I am making decisions all the time and I don’t necessarily get a clear word on each decision as I need to feel in the holy spirit whether things are the right thing to do. This is a level of maturity in the sanctification walk I have got to where I can now trust the Lord to give me revelation and also a knowing if a decision is not on the mark (a check in the spirit). As you get closer and closer to God you work automatically in alignment.
James 4:8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
I asked Him this question also because when I first got the baptism of the spirit and He made clear my calling and what has to be done He would quite often say to me Darren that decision is not correct and I need you to hit the mark so you need to address this situation or change that decision. Some of those changes were very difficult for me at the time but I learn’t obedience and did them.
So, giving everything that is going on in my life at the moment I asked the question “am I hitting the mark”?
His answer through a friend
“There is no mark to miss, it is a TV made of pixels, there are too many marks to individualise and we have an overall picture and if we are within that bandwidth we are doing well.”
This was a surprise to me and I had to think about it. But as I understand this short word it highlights several important lessons, He has shown me over the years.
Lesson One
As our level of maturity, trust and relationship with God increases He can give us more to do. When we first move on His calling and words and are new to His voice, we lack the experience to handle it in a number of cases. He knows me so well and back when I was first getting words and tasks, He needed me to learn obedience and to obey His word. I had no bandwidth and the tasks were very specific. He was teaching me and He was testing me at the same time as a wise teacher. As I have moved forward a number of years now, He is telling me you now move in a bandwidth because you do trust Me and you do obey Me. You can now be exposed to more and do a lot more kingdom work. The parable of the talents applying. As a good friend said to me yesterday when I talked about this thought it is like when you are a child you don’t have a lot of room or freedom in a number of choices but as you grow your freedom grows. He wants us dealing in a wider bandwidth but we have to work through a sanctification process first and we need to prove ourselves and pass the test to receive more increase. At university you can’t go on and do level two accounting if you haven’t passed level one accounting
Lession Two
The second thing that comes to mind is His love of freewill. He gives us freewill, all of us the saved and the unsaved and He values this gift to us. As the level of kingdom activity increases that we are involved in, then the amount of freewill decisions involved increases. He has said before to me that He has plan A-Z and the reason He has these is that He allows for freewill choices for both the saved and unsaved. For example if someone doesn’t step into their calling then He has plan B to achieve the same thing. If you remember when Elijah thought he was the last person left bowing to the Lord and the Lord said no I have seven thousand in Israel all whose knees have not bowed to Baal… 1 Kings 19 (15). God had plan B.
If we are in Gods will, then we can have multiple marks on the go at once. Freewill choices are not to be in disobedience but need to be with a heart that is in His will.
Lesson Three
He declares things over us and in His kingdom. In the last eight years I can think of two specific things HE HAS DECLARED over my calling and the tasks I am about. One of them was eight years ago and I have held onto that declaration and I am now seeing that this declaration will come to be. God knew I needed something to hold onto as I went through the sanctification walk and putting into place His plan and the cost involved with this task. The second one happened on this most recent prophetic night we were holding and it was to remind me that a certain additional outcome was going to happen because He had declared it
Isaiah 46:9-10
Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
Joshua 21:45
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
I am working in a wide bandwidth now and it may seem that the things I am being asked to do look impossible at times but He is asking me to stand on the declarations He has given as these will happen. Even though the bandwidth is wide and there are many pixels the outcome is a given. The same applies to you.
Look and seek the declarations over your life, they give you such a foundation to hold onto as things start moving quickly. You realise you are in God’s glorious plan and we are working in partnership as His outcome is delivered.
A well known verse comes into more context with this word from the Lord
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We love the Lord, we are called and we are about our calling (His purpose) therefore the bandwidth can be easily handled as He ensures all things work together.
As I wrap up this word I get the verse
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
We must step into our calling with faith.
We must believe God is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do.
We must seek Him with all we are.
One of the ways He will reward us is with a wider bandwidth as He wishes us to do all that He has put us here to do.
A final word I receive
“Don’t stop now but push on because in this season I Am releasing the blessing, the anointings, the gifts and the callings in a bigger way than I have ever done before so lets not hesitate but lets move in pace and courage and boldness because my angels are about their work now and many strongholds are pulled down and my children will step into much as greater freedom occurs. But you must be obedient, you must be faithful and you must be stepping up so I can increase these things in your life. I love all my children and wish to bless them all so be one of the chosen in this season and reap the increase blessings. I am about my kingdom work.”
Matthew 22:11-14
“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
14“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
