Sometimes we just need to remember who God is.  He is God and He has done it.  This is what He has been reminding me of recently.

Ezekiel 12:25

For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be

postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the

Lord God.’ ”

God speaks and it comes to pass.

How many of us have looked this year and wondered if what the Lord promised is going to be?  Or maybe you have been waiting years for something to happen and you are wondering what is going on.

God reminds me He has done it; it is written and we will see what He has said over our life come to pass. He has spoken who we are and we are named already.

Ecclesiastes 6:10

Whatever one is, he has been named already,
For it is known that he is man;
And he cannot contend with Him who is mightier than he

God has done it in your life and He will deliver the good things, He has named you.

Joshua 21:43-45

So, the Lord gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it. 44 The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.

Think of all the things He is saying in these verses.

  • He remembers promises to generations and He does them
  • He delivers your enemies into your hand
  • Not a word fails of what He speaks.
  • Every good thing He speaks comes to pass over your house

In these verses, Joshua was speaking at the end of his life as he looked back and he could reflect on it and he could say these things.  We will be able to do the same and we just need to walk in the faith knowing this.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

The Lord has reminded me it is done because He is God.  Because of this He reminded me that I just need to trust Him.

In the last two weeks the Lord asked me to do something that makes no sense in the secular world of business or in any field. It goes against what we would see as just good practical application. The impact for me is huge but He asked me to do it.  At first I qualified how I wanted to do it and the Lord then said well we will do it a different way with an alternative.  This forced me to sit still for a moment and be in a position of fear of God as He is going to do it one way or another as it is His plan.  As I sat still, I asked myself has the Lord not said what the outcome will be over the next few years and do I trust His word.  So I came back to what he asked of me originally and I put on the line what I was being asked to do as I understand that it is all His and His plans are perfect.  I can’t read these scriptures, quote them and then not put them into practise through my heart and head position.

I had a sense of peace when I took this position and I got the word from the Lord that this was a test that I had been put through.  I know the result of that test will dictate what else will now occur in my life.

I understand now that He has done it and I need to trust Him and do what He is asking me to do. We all need to walk in this position.

Psalms 86:15

But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

His word is truth and He is abundant in that.

I have been reading psalms this week and it struck me how many Psalms start with the words Trust in the Lord.  Very simple but so critical.

God has written so much over your life; He is outside time and it is done.  He asks us to trust Him now in this walk.

In the year and years ahead, He is going to show you that He has done things and that you can step into these things and walk in these.  He will ask us to trust Him more than ever in our walk.

He gave us a word a few years ago where He said in times to come I am going to ask my children to step left and they will need to step left, I am going to ask my children to step right and they will need to step right. It will be critical for them to hear my voice and do what I ask.

In giving us this word, He was asking us to trust Him and obey him and he knows what He has done and what he has said over us.

Isaiah 46:9-10

Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’

He has declared the end from the beginning and it is done.  We can hold onto this and be encouraged.

These are the words I get as I finish

“Now I am moving son like never before, my children are going to see my hand upon them like never before and they will be blessed as the promises come to bear.  I ask for obedience, I ask for trust at this time and I ask for diligence in all the things I have taught and shown them.  It is a great time of outpouring and a time of great avalanches in the Spirit as much comes down upon my children. Be excited, be about my business and be about gathering the fruit which I am pouring down, my words will be performed.”
