It is an interesting time for all of us as we head for the end of 2020. I am hearing many powerful words from the Lord and things have begun on this phase of His plan which is exciting for all of us.
We had a word the other day that He is “blessing His rainmakers at the moment and anointing them for what they have to do”. Also, the word to us was “that your training has finished”.
What a time as things are on the move.
One thing that I have been getting a lot of at the moment is what is the position of your soul. I have been receiving this message and then a week ago our church pastor taught on the soul. I know when patterns like this occur the Lord wants me to understand and share something.
We have a body, soul and spirit. Our soul sits between our body and spirit.
In Psalm 23:3 we are told “He restores my soul;”
The Lord showed me that this restoring of our soul was the restoring of our soul from our body to our spirit. Everything physically around us on this earth pulls at the body and our flesh and as a result we often find ourselves in the body i.e.: worried about the things of the earth whether it is our family, money, politics etc and as a result our soul is pulled towards these things. The natural state of where we are supposed to be is have our soul pulling and being one with the Spirit and in doing this we bring our body along this path as well because our soul in spirit can’t stand the body in a place that isn’t Godly. That is why it is about restoring the soul to its right place. In this time right now this is exactly what I believe the Lord is asking us to do, To have our soul as one with Him in the Spirit and not getting pulled into all the things of the body like Covid or Politics. It is from this Soul and Spirit position that our body issues are then restored to Him and as a result it is a great place to stand.
1 Peter 2:11
Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
Peter tells us here that the issues of the world (the body) will war against our soul. This is not the natural position for us.
He would have us endure at this time and stand in the Spirit with Him. This restoration is a battle for us as we live in the world and are bombarded with the world and its standards all the time.
James 5:11
Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord–that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
The end intended by the Lord is good so battle and endure.
God has a soul
Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
Judges 10:15-16
And the children of Israel said to the LORD, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”
16 So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.
God has a soul like us. We are made in His image. His soul feels things like we do, and He knows where we are and where our walk is and the things of the body that would pull our soul the wrong way. He would have us in a peace and strength at the moment which is why He wants our soul aligned with the Spirit as this is the best position of strength.
This soul and Spirit position is not a place of inaction. We are to move in action but from a Spirit position not a body position.
Luke 9:61-62
And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” 62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Hebrews 6:12
that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Our soul position needs to be in a kingdom of God position so that means not sitting still in fear or sluggishness. It means moving forward.
He knows our soul position.
Jeremiah 17:10
I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 20:12
But, O LORD of hosts,
You who test the righteous,
And see the mind and heart,
Let me see Your vengeance on them;
For I have pleaded my cause before You.
And as He knows the heart, He knows the best plan for us and we have access to that plan. His children hear His voice. He also gives us the word to bring our soul back to where it should be if it is out of line.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We see here clearly in this verse how the soul is between the spirit and the body (joints and marrow). He will use the word to bring your soul back in line and at this time I feel He is telling us all clearly to be in His word and He will use that to have your soul aligned correctly if needed. Exciting!
Seek Him now more than ever as He is bringing in His rainmakers, He is calling his chosen and He is moving us from training to His plan for this season and we are about to see and PARTICIPATE in amazing things because we have our soul in the position for the plan He has.
Jeremiah 29:13
And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Ezekiel 11:21
“But as for those whose hearts follow the desire for their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord GOD.
2 Chronicles 25:1-2
Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
2 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart.
Let’s not sit on the couch or be ambivalent as He wants to use all us. Your heart position drives your soul position and how He can align it. Where are you focussed now? Are you being dictated to by the earth (body) or by the Spirit? This heart and mind position at the moment is critical. If yours isn’t right then seek the Lord closer and pray into this.
Revelation 2:23
“I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
Get your position and actions right as He releases now.
In this season He will show us more things done in the Spirit
1) to build our strength so we can stand
He doesn’t put us where we can’t stand. He wants us to have more and to be able to stand.
2) to build our faith – so the genuineness of your faith stands
3) to bring us to a real revelation of Jesus Christ and who He is
Our soul will be one with the spirit as He positions us as His children in the world. We will see things in the time ahead that will be unbelievable as He is making a statement to the world, and us, that He is God.
1 Peter 1:21
who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God
This is our soul position
Don’t let your soul forget His promises at this time.
Let the promises made in the Spirit through His word be where your soul is focussed and anchored and not let the things of earth drag your soul down. He tells us to hold to His promises and word
Joshua 21:45
Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
The word over your house shall come to pass. Be obedient and focussed on the Lord.
Joshua 23:14
“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What a great body, soul and spirit position to be.
I am excited for this time as I know the words the Lord has spoken. I know who is in control and His plan is right where He wants it. Let my soul be aligned totally with your Spirit and the plan you have for me. Let your soul be aligned totally with your spirit and the plan He has for you and your house.
