A few weeks ago, the Lord gave me a word which has been on my mind and I believe it is for a number of us.

I was considering events that were going on and things that needed to still be completed based on words for the future the Lord had given me at various times.  It was quite a daunting picture that I still needed to push into.

The Lord said to me “Darren you have always known you have a destiny”

That was it, a very simple statement but quite profound as I have thought further about this.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ever since I was a young child, I always felt that there was something I was here to do, something that had to be completed.  When I found the Lord and was saved that filled a good part of this hole, but it didn’t take away what was still inside me that needed to be completed.  When I originally started getting words about the task ahead that I had to do, I knew that the tasks were what I had been missing.  It was the words written in the Fathers book for me that I was here to complete.

When the Lord refers to me always knowing I have had a destiny that explains the feelings well.

How many of you have had this hunger and knowing all your life that you have something to do while you are here on earth?  It is always inside you. I encourage you to commune with the Lord and get very clear what you’re here to do and when you understand that you will know what it is that is creating that need and hunger or even absence you feel inside.  He wants us to know what we are here to do. He wants to call it into being, but He needs us to be there with Him on this journey.

Romans 4:17

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed–God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

God wants us to possess the destiny we are here for as that is part of His Kingdom plan for us and also our descendants.  What we are destined to do and how we complete it will impact our children and children’s children as well as us.

Acts 7:5

“And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.

The season we are in now is about working and walking in your destiny.  He is bringing out His children to be all that they are meant to be so that they can complete what they are here for.  He is about to move in ways that will leave you no doubt that you are here for a purpose and He has a plan. Be ready for this and have your lamp shining to receive the clarity, the revelation and the wisdom needed for the walk ahead.  He desires all His children to participate.  Pray into your destiny now more than ever. Understand your identity in Him and what your calling and gifts are. If you don’t know these things then pray into them, and if you can seek prophetic words from trusted others to help give you this clarity then do that as well. Pray that where you or your ancestors have got off track, that the Lord will do a divine correction to put you back on track.  The season ahead is going to be so amazing and it is time to be in the right place doing the right things. It is about His plan for us and not our plan for us.  His plan is far better even if it means dying to a number of things.

Time is very short now to get aligned so don’t miss out get praying.

When you are about your destiny there is a peace.

Philippians 1:6

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

There is a confidence and peace in knowing you are on the right path and you are about doing the things that the Lord has written for your destiny. When we are in front of Him at the end of our life lets be in a place that we can tick the completed boxes for what we have been put here to do.

You can have a peace in doing what you are doing no matter what.

2 Corinthians 8:10

And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; 11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. 12 For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

You don’t have to wait until He gives you everything to get going.  Where is the faith in that?  You are to be about what you are here for. That by the way, doesn’t mean presuming on His grace it means being practical and to work out of what you have.  Allow some God space but don’t make silly decisions.

No matter where we are in our destiny walk, we can be content

Philippians 4:11

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Paul knew what He had been put here for and He had learned to be content no matter the state He was in.

The Lord was telling me (and He is telling you) that we have a destiny and when we understand that we can be at peace because we are about His work, doing the right thing and that He is with us. Let’s get on with it.
