Many times I have found myself in a battle pushing to take some territory or to hold some ground. I have felt like I have done all I can.  The lord has then asked me “have you done it all you can?”.  I have said yes and then He has said “this is correct so now you must wait upon me?”

However not in every situation have I done it all and when I think about where breakthrough didn’t occur it was because I hadn’t done it all.
Ephesians 6:13

Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

My traditional view on this topic would have been that I needed to have done everything I could do in the current situation whether it was physically, financially or emotionally. The Lord has been showing me recently a different view on this.

He has been reinforcing to me in the last week (with a lot more clarity) what having done it all looks like and He is doing that because in this season I believe He wants us to have done all we can.  He is going to release much upon us in the time ahead and because of that there will be bigger battles, territory to take and break though needed.  For us to carry this release and in some cases even receive this release He needs us to have done all we can.

What is He highlighting to me?

PRAYER POSITION

Jesus prayed

Luke 5:16

So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

We are told to be like Jesus

He had just seen the Pharisees be angry at Him and to rage. Jesus knew it was a battle around Him.

What does He do?

He goes and gets in the presence of the Father and prays.

Luke 6:12

Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

He prayed all night. I can’t remember ever praying all night but if we are to hold the ground then we need to be in prayer.  All of us are to do this.

From this prayer He went and chose His disciples in verse 13. Jesus was given a battle plan from being in prayer.  A clarity was given as to how to move forward through the appointing disciples.

As we move into this new season we have to be in prayer.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

What do we do alongside with prayer?

We Praise and worship.

Philippians 4:6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

With thanksgiving which we can do though praise and worship we are given a position of peace and holding ground.

This can be done as individuals or in unity.

In this time we are going to be asked to be more in unity as a body than ever before.  No longer will it be about us as individuals (although He knows and love each one of us) but the victory will come from us being one with each other and one with Him.

Having done all requires us to be in Praise and Worship. To be in unity and to be as one.
HEART POSITION

Proverbs 23:7

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Is our heart position right.  This is not a season of having everything rationalised in your head and knowing all, but the Lord is looking at what is your true heart position.

Is your position all about yourself and your prayer life all about yourself? Is it about having the intellectual answers?

The heart position The Lord is looking for is one of being totally in Him.  Knowing in our heart that His plan is perfect no matter what is going on around us.  Knowing that all we have is His to choose to do with as He wants. When difficulty occurs, our position is to be at peace in Him.

Having done all is to have moved beyond ourselves to be totally about Him and His kingdom.  It is a heart position rather than something we say and understand.  It is the way we are positioned in everything. It is who we are.
RIGHTEOUSNESS

2 Peter 3:13

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;

On earth as it is in heaven.  In us as it is in heaven.  God wants us to be in a position of righteousness.  When He find us it is without spot or blame.

Having done all means to have corrected sin in a situation, to have repented, having changed our ways, to walk as He walked.

If you are still with spot and blame then you haven’t done all.  This is not an easy position to win a battle from. You need to address areas in your life right now to move to this position of righteousness.  It is not easy but He wants to release upon you.  He wants you holding your ground in the first place.  Maybe you have been going backwards, or all through your life you have been losing the same ground again and again.  He wants to change that now.  He can then get you taking territory for the Kingdom.

Do all you can to get to a position of righteousness.

BEING IN THE PRESENCE

Be in prayer, take the time to be with Him.  Give Him time everyday no matter the circumstances.  Give Him quality time.  If it means sacrificing half an hour of time from somewhere else, then find the time and get in His presence.  It is from this position that He can release the strategies, the gifts, the blessings upon you.

Having done all means finding the position of peace that enables you to be in His presence. Praise, worship, unity and prayer are just a few things that we can do to be in His presence.

MOVING FORWARD

Having done all means to move forward and not look back. (read the last teaching I did on this).

We move on into the position He has for us. We move as far as we can and then we stand knowing we have done all.  This sometimes means leaving things behind us.

These are some of the areas He has been highlighting to me and I know there will be others that the Lord has for you to do so you have done all.  Get in His presence and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the things that you need to do. We need to get in a position of having done all.

Our lamp needs to be emptied so that He can then do His part and fill it up. We can’t bury the talent in the ground and wait for Him to do it all.  He wants us to have done what we can do to have done all.

The season ahead of us is going to be amazing.  We need to be like the bridesmaid ready to go. When you are in a battle you need to know that you have been given much in the word on how to handle the battles. The Lord hasn’t left us empty handed.  But we have to have done all we can and then watch God do His part as He is true to His word and promises.

Every day this year I have seen a vision of a baseball being hit out of the park and the Lord reminds me now that He wants us to hit the ball out of the park. This is the season we are but to hit the ball out of the park every time we step up to the plate, we have to have done the preparation we have to have done all.
