In the season of blessing starting and growing remember to give glory to God. The season is changing, the final preparation is being done and we are going to come into a wonderful season of blessing. Some of you are feeling this alignment starting to happen now with more blessings coming upon you and some are going through final adjustments (which may be very painful). Regardless of your situation in the next few years as children of God we are going to feel tremendous blessings.
But in this season the opportunity exists for one of the biggest traps that we can fall into and that is to forget who is doing this all and who the glory belong to.
You may have been walking in some ongoing alignment or preparation for years and suddenly you see blessings start to come out of this. How easy is to forget about God in this or say to ourselves all my hard work paid off? We are being blessed because we are children of God and are obedient but it is all Him not us.
Daniel 4:25-26
They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.
26 “And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.
In the life of Nebuchadnezzar we see someone walking around in his own glory. But if this man is to be a king that is in Gods will then God is going to bring him into alignment.
The Most High rules in the kingdom and gives to ever He chooses. It is not us and when you are walking around in the fruit of your calling and gifting, we must remember that it is God that rules and He chooses who He gives it to. It is nothing to do with us. We step out and we do all we can in obedience and in line with our calling but unless He blows upon it then it is fruitless.
Your kingdom shall be assured to you after you come to know that Heaven rules.
We shall walk in the kingdom in all power when we recognise that Heaven rules not us. The level of blessing we walk in is as a result of Him choosing but our actions impacts His choosing. Don’t sit on the couch and wait! Step in.
Daniel 4:27
Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity.”
When we receive our blessings they are impacted by our actions. Break off your sins by being righteous. Your iniquities by giving mercy to the poor. Stay in the house of repentance. Recognise it is Jesus’s blood that has done it all and brought us to a place of receiving the blessings. It is all Him.
Luke 17:15-18
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
In the blessings one Leper returned and gave glory to God. What were the rest doing? I suspect they were off celebrating their new found blessing. The Lord was looking for acknowledgement of what had been done whose glory it was. What did you do last time you received a blessing?
Acts 10:40-43
34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said:
……..
40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
Peter was the instrument that shared and many believed on the Lord.
Peter took no glory to himself here but presented this miracle in a way that many believed in the Lord.
In this season of blessings use the testimony of your blessings to Glorify the Lord.
Jeremiah 13:15-16
Hear and give ear:
Do not be proud,
For the Lord has spoken.
16 Give glory to the Lord your God
Before He causes darkness,
And before your feet stumble
On the dark mountains,
And while you are looking for light,
He turns it into the shadow of death
And makes it dense darkness.
Do not walk in pride in your blessings because we know the blessings are from the Lord and your season of blessings could be cut short from all He has for you.
Remember it is Him.
John 17:4
I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
Get to the end of your life in a way that you have glorified Him and not yourself.
Many of His children in the years ahead are going to rise up and the world is going to look at them in wonder and He wants His glory shining out of His children and not our glory.
Galatians 2-20
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
This whole idea of Christ in us shining through is the best way to glorify God as we become one with Him. We walk as Jesus did.
Don’t under estimate the toughness of doing this when you are walking in blessings when things are going well. Don’t fall into the trap of the world but spend even more time being close to Him and praising Him.
2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
We glorify Him when we shine His glory in the way we walk and who we are.
Roman 5:19
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Give glory to God, it is His grace in our life that has enabled us to walk in blessings. I feel like having the word grace typed onto the back of my hands so I always see the reason why I can walk in all that I can.
Galatians 1:3-5
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
To Him be the Glory for ever and ever.
All of Him none of me.
BUT remember to walk in the blessings. The season is upon us.
The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord!
