Note from my journal 27th April 2013, 5.10pm

I had a vision two nights ago of a big ring with a diamond in it. Reading a book by Tozer today and he talks in his book about the disciples before the crucifixion, “then Christ gave them these words as a sort of little diamond set in a great ring.” He said “watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41. “Son, this is what I was showing you. This is what I would have you do. Obey these words, and I will bless you.” Bless us all Father

It has been a tough couple of weeks for me as the Lord is allowing circumstances around me to bring me to a position of total trust in Him.  I hear the word of the Lord and I know His prophecies over me and what I am called to do and accomplish.  Many would say this is a blessing to be able to hear Him clearly (and He wants us all to hear Him) but when things around you seem to be occurring that would suggest there is no way these prophecies can happen then you are really tested to the core as to your trust in Him.  And He asks “Will you trust Me?  Will you stand in Me?

Ephesians 6:13

Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Our spirit is willing but our flesh can be weak.  What does weakness of flesh look like? It looks like trying to take things in your own hands and making them happen even when you know the Lord has a plan.

Why do we try and do things in our own strength?  It is because we are not trusting in Him do to it.

SO WHAT DO WE TRUST IN?

Do we trust in the degrees we have?  In our intellectualism.

If we are asked by Him to sell our belongings our house, our car, our possessions to put into the calling he has given us will we trust Him enough to do this?  Or do we hold onto these things as our contingency plan or because this is stuff we can touch that is around us?

Do we trust in our family?  The security we get from them.

Luke 8:21

My mother and my brothers are those that hear the word of God and do it.

So the question is what do we really trust in when it comes down to it?  When we are really tested will we stand in Him? Or do we resort to those things that we maybe view as security based on what we have relied on in the flesh?

This is the question He has been asking me as this is foundational for Him to take us to greater places and to enable us to walk in power in the kingdom of God.

DO WE PUT OUR TRUST IN HIM?

Psalm 73: 27-28

For indeed those who are far from you shall perish; You have destroyed all those who desert You for harlotry.  But it is good for me to draw near to God;

I have put my trust in The Lord God that I may declare all your works.

I will declare the good works he has done in my life.  It is not me it is him as we draw close we understand it is not one bit of us but all of Him and this takes a total trust to stand in this position.

Ecclesiastes 7:1

In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in that day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other.”

He knows best.  When were you last in a situation where you were tested as to your ability to stand in the Lord?  How did you go?  Did you stand?  Do we really know in the core of us that we will trust in him no matter what?

He knows what is in store for us in the times ahead and he prepares us by taking us to this place of no matter what is happening around us we trust Him.

Job 13:15

Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. …

In the worst of times will we still trust Him that he is a good and loving God?

WHAT DOES TRUST IN GOD LOOK LIKE?

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in him and lean not on our own understanding

All of Him none of us.

Obedience

Genesis 6:22

Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.

Noah was an ordinary man like you and I.  Here he was building an ark that had never been seen before or comprehended by man.  He was doing it with total trust in God.  What were his family saying to Him?  What were the people around him saying and doing?  How much of his time and resources were being used on this project.

Yet he built it anyway.  Why because he totally trusted in God and what he was being asked to do.

Do we have this level of trust in God and would we have done it?

He was just like you and me.  All the children in the bible were just like you and I and numbers of them did great things.  How did they do these things?  They trusted in God and what He had told them. They moved in faith and not sight. That is trust.

HE DOES IT NOT US

1) Moses held his staff up above his head until he had received totally victory. It was not let down until total victory.

2) Joshua 18 Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Stretch out the spear that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand.” And Joshua stretched out the spear that was in his hand toward the city.

26 For Joshua did not draw back his hand, with which he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

Both Moses and Joshua obeyed The Lord to the end in these cases. They were acknowledging that it was The Lord who was in control who had the victory. Not them.

The symbolism they carried out in the Spirit was this act of acknowledgement of who was in control.  They trusted in the word of the Lord and the fact that is was God doing it.

Father instruct us and we will obey no matter what in the spiritual we are asked by You to do and regardless of what it looks like in the natural. We will TRUST You!

WHY SHOULD WE TRUST GOD?

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;

Will I trust in my own actions or stand in Him?

Jerimiah 7-8

Blessed is the man who trusts in The Lord and whose hope is in the Lord.

He will not fear and will not be anxious

Acts 7:10

Joseph

But God was with him and delivered him out of all his troubles and gave him favour and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh king of Egypt…

Who did Joseph trust in? Did God bring Him to this place so that he would trust?  Though he slay me yet will I trust Him?

Psalm 17:7

..O You who save those who trust in You.

Psalm 18 v30

…He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

4 Trust in the LORD forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.

Amen let my mind be stayed on you, let it be transformed.  Time and time again we are told through the word to trust Him by people in the bible who were like you and I. They went through the trials and tribulations like you and I.  He wants to know that we will trust Him in the good and bad times.  He wants us to be unshakeable and on a foundation of rock and not sand.

This can only be achieved with a total trust in God and who he is. God is good and loves us.

WE ARE IN HIS HANDS AND WE CAN TRUST HIM

1 Peter 5:6

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

1 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of The Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

Trust equals loyalty.

Acts 7:9

“And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him

10 “and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favour and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

This is out God He is with us and He is delivering us and we can trust Him.

2 Kings 19:25

‘Did you not hear long ago How I made it, From ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, That you should be …

Yes Lord  we shall be all you made us to be and your plan has been decided.  We can trust You to deliver your plan for us.

This is where God has brought me to at this time.  To a position of trust in Him that I can stand on.

Not relying on anything else but Him, this is who I trust and love and this is my foundation.

James 2:23

And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.

Trust, believe God and be called a friend of God.

Be a friend of God!
