IS THIS YOUR APPOINTED TIME?

2Kings 20:11

And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward,

Then 2 days later Galatians 4:10

You observe days and months and seasons and years

The Lord was telling me and making it sink in that the seasons and time don’t matter as He is outside them, and He will perform it, stop trying to run to my timelines.

Jeremiah 1:12

Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

2 Peter 3:8

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

One day as a thousand years.  He is in control and He will anoint and appoint in His timelines.

 

HE HAS A TIME

Ecclesiastes 3:9

What profit has the worker from that in which he labours?

10 I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

This is where He takes me one morning. He knows out work, He has given us a calling and it is in His time. And He is the only one that knows His work.  He makes everything beautiful in its time.  Do you think the Lord is going to appoint you before you are beautiful?  No He has a work He is doing in us and He will complete that work before you are appointed.

And that is a painful work at times and how often do we cry out during that walk and work because we believe we are ready now.  When you are not ready and you move in your own time it is not so beautiful.

 

Genesis 12:4

So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

He was 75 when he went to the new land. Not young yet he did all that God had written and he obeyed and went in the Lords timing not his own.

Every time I have tried to go in my timing as I wanted to make it happen crashing and pain occurred.  Why because I have asked the Lord to let me complete all that is written about me and what I am to do (John 17:4).  Now the Lord knows all and when I step outside his appointed time He will let me crash as He wants me to achieve what is written about me and it wont me in my understanding or timing.

 

HE APPOINTS US

Ezekiel 17:22-24

22 Thus says the Lord God: “I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain.23 On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell. 24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.

I have brought down the green tree, and made the dry tree to flourish

I the Lord have spoken and have done it

The Lord showed me the calling on my life. He said that I will be the one in verse 22-24 for that calling as you will be the one in your life for your calling.  But only if you let Him be the one who has done it in His appointed time.

And it will be when the top old branches are cropped off and the new man is present (the transformed).

2 Kings 19:25

“Did you not hear long ago?

How I made it

From ancient times that I formed it?

Now I have brought it to pass

That you should be…”

This is YOU He is talking about He appoints us.

 

2 Corinthians 10:13

We however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us – a sphere which especially includes you.”

This applies in our calling in the territories we are given in our sphere.  He appoints us and there is a definite time for this.  He appointed Moses at the right time as well as Joseph.  I wonder if they had times when they wanted to be appointed earlier.

 

DO WE DOUBT THAT WE WILL BE APPOINTED?

Ecclesiastes 6:10

Whatever one is, he has been named already.

For it is known that he is man;

And he cannot contend with Him who is mightier than he.”

Ephesians 2:10

For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Romans 11:29

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable

He has named you and will appoint you.

It is done

Wow accept who God wants you to be. Walk in his will and be ready to go because He will appoint you when it is His appointed time.

 

In His Hands Isaiah 46:10 (The Lord’s counsel is unchanging)

Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,

He has declared the end from the beginning. It is done

 

APPROVED AND APPOINTED

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who endures temptation for when he has been approved he will receive the crown of life which The Lord has promised to those who love him.

We need to get to a point where he can approve and appoint us.

Then we get life which is all in Him.

And when you receive this approval there is a knowing that you are now approved, appointed and anointed.

 

WHY IS THERE AN APPOINTED TIME?

Galatians 2:2

And I went up by revelation.  (Paul)

He was told when it was the right time.  After fourteen years.  He wasn’t ready day one.

Acts 7:25

Talking about Moses

For he supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand but they did not understand.

Moses presumed that he knew Gods timing and his brethren should know as well..

He wasn’t ready as God had stuff to sort out in Moses (a foundation).  He needed 40 years in the wilderness.

This idea also applies when you have prophecies over yourself and when you know your calling.  It doesn’t mean you don’t do anything but you must be of a mind that it is not you but it is all Him.  It must be all Him and none of you and you must have a mindset that understands that.

It is a balance, you need to step out but it must be in his will and you must be in your sphere of influence.

 

YOU MUST BE APPOINTED

1 Thessalonians 3:3

…for you yourselves know that we are appointed to this.

Paul was appointed to be an apostle.

He appoints us to our calling.  It is His time and a place.

Galatians 4:2

But is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father.

Jeremiah 8:6-7

…Everyone turned to his own course, As the horse rushes into the battle.

Even the stork in the heavens knows her appointed times;

And the turtle dove, the swift and the swallow

Observe the time of their coming.

Interesting we will know our appointed time like the stork does.  And this verse uses the plural “times”

Colossians 1:1

Paul and apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God and Timothy our brother.

By his will.  He appoints.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven; ..

V11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also he has put eternity in their hearts, …

His timing His season for your appointment

 

Daniel 10:1

…The message was true, but the appointed time was long; and he understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.

 

There is an appointed time and I believe we are reaching an appointed time in our lives. Is it now?

You will know when the Lord has appointed you and said now is the time.

 

Acts 13:48

Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

He knows who will be saved and He calls them in.

 

Acts 17:25

“Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

26 “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,

27 “so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

He has the appointed times He has our territories.

Lord let me step into mine

 

WHEN APPOINTED STEP OUT

Matthew 22:2

“The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son,

3 “and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.

4 “Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding

He has it all ready for us and when the appointed time comes He invites us.

And we must step out to get what He has prepared.  Other wise like in the later verses of Matthew 22 there will be wailing.

 

James 2:22  works with faith

 

Matthew 22:5

“But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business.

But we have the choice and some choose to be about their own business not the Lords. We must be close to Him and know we are in His will. We need to choose what He asks us to do.

The Lord will appoint in His own time.  He desires to appoint us and have us in the position He made us for.

The words the Lord gave me.

“My children I ask for you to be ready as I have much to accomplish in this time and I seek the chosen not those who think they are appointed.  It is time for you to stand up and say choose me not someone else.  Will you ask and be appointed? I desire to appoint you.”

 I see a vision of a war game with lots of pieces and the Lord is moving the pieces into position now the pieces are those who have been appointed and are ready to stand. There are pieces that aren’t on the board and they number many.
