TRANSFORMED MIND

 

Vision from the 20^th July 2014

He shows me the Cross and Him coming of it

Then He shows me earth. A light starts in one place and spreads out from there. There is a light spreading into the darkness.

He stands in front of me. He reaches out His hand to hold my hand and he says he loves me

Then I see tablets with writing on (this is the past) he smashes and then he cleans up the area. He reminds me that in Philippians it says to forget the past. Don’t hold onto it. This was the book he took me to this morning.

Then broom sweeping out area again

Holds out what I think is a batten and then it is there to take in the spirit.

The batten is in fact a scroll rolled out in the clean space and it lists all the things we will complete for him now.

We go now to complete in power.

 

 Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

When I think about this vision it reminds me of what the Lord has done in me over the last few years.  He has smashed those parts that weren’t of Him, swept out the mess and given me a clean slate to start from.

This is essential to our walk with the Lord.  We have to be prepared to be transformed and to have our mind renewed as we push into our Lord.

 

1 Peter 5:10

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

 This suffering is a smashing of the tablets, it is a taking the old and breaking it and making it into something new as He can’t bring you to a settled stage unless this occurs.  How often does our mind think it knows better?

This week the Lord has brought me back to this place in my own walk where He has raised things in my mind and my walk that needed to be addressed.  In my heart I knew these things but in my mind I still held onto what I thought was the right way (my way).  As I push in face to face He is not going to let my mind stay in the old and when I aren’t obedient or I am not prepared to change then He will bring the experiences to make sure that I learn His mind if I am willing.

 

So what does a transformed mind look like?

 

We become one with Him

Philippians 2:5

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 4:1

…Arm yourself with the same mind.

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

The new mind does this.

John 14:10

…The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own authority but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.  Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

We are one we walk with Him in us.  Walk forward with this.

John 14:20

At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I am in you.

John 14:23

If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

Colossians 1:21

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body through His flesh through death.

Colossians 3:2

Set your mind on those things which are above, not on things of the earth.

This is the mind that has been transformed.

 

An extract from my earlier notes

Deuteronomy 30:14

But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

The word is the Lord and Christ is in me.  When we get real close and push in we become one and he comes out our mouth and is in our heart

Reading John G Lake last night he says “he becomes our personality”.

My quote “that voice in our head becomes and is his voice”

This is where we are. The Lord showed me last night in Lake and now he shows me first thing this morning in the word.  Amen.

Our mind is transformed and becomes one with Him.

 

One mind together

 

Philippians 3:16

Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

So this follows verse 12

Paul says not that I have already attained or am already perfected.

But when you have reached a level of attainment walk as one mind one body. You will find walking as one mind easier and easier as you reach the level of attainment. The two come together.

Paul had a legal background and no doubt had a great mind to go with that but he understood he had to have a like mind of the Lord and he encourages us to be all of the same mind of Jesus.

 

Willing to Push in and be open to the Lord

Philippians 3:13

…Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal of the upward call of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 3:15

Therefore let us, as many as are mature have this mind and if in anything you think otherwise God will reveal even this to you.

Ephesians 4:23

… And be renewed in the spirit of the mind.

 

This is what I want, where I have died fully to the old man and that the Spirit is now in my mind and therefore fully my soul. I am in a new place when I am here.

I haven’t realised the importance of this step and what it means. This is the renewing of the mind in Romans 12:2.

When we get to this point the kingdom of God becomes all as it is our mind.

 

Our personality becomes Him

I love this position and I feel it more and more.

 

Ephesians 4 v23

… And be renewed in the spirit of the mind.

Romans 8:27

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

These verses tie together. We move on from a heart that is Him to also have a mind of the Spirit.

 

Deuteronomy 18:6

“So if a Levite comes from any of your gates, from where he dwells among all Israel, and comes with all the desire of his mind to the place which the LORD chooses,

7 “then he may serve in the name of the LORD his God as all his brethren the Levites do, who stand there before the LORD.

 

Replace the word Levites with son of God and this is what we seek.

We come to you with all the desire of our mind.

Now this is mind not heart (he has all our heart) but we come putting all else aside and being of one mind with him.

And here we stand in the spirit before The Lord with a ready mind like those before us to serve him. We stand in the holy place to do this.

 

Deuteronomy 18:1

… they shall eat the offerings of The Lord made by fire…

 

As we stand and serve the refiners fire shall do the work and the offerings will be received and the mind transformed.

 

He is in control and the transformed mind overcomes the flesh

 

Romans 7:24 

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

We want the mind transformed so that we do not let our flesh control as that will lead to sin.

Romans 8:5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and
peace.

The transformed mind

Romans 8:27

Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

He searches looking for the transformed mind and that our heart and mind are one with Him
Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
The transformed mind gives you peace because it is Him.

Proverbs 23:7 

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “….

Scary thought

 

Colossians 1:21 

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled

22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 
Restoreth our soul.  This is our mind we become one and our mind that has been alienated becomes one.

 

Transformed mind

Romans 8:5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

It is so easy to look in the flesh and see that it is impossible but when we look in the Spirit it is absolutely possible in fact it is an expectation.

Yesterday I looked from the flesh and that is sin. Today I look from the Spirit (the mind in spirit) and it is done, it is life and peace and it is subject to the law of God.  This is where a transformed mind takes us.

1 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder),
Our pure minds our transformed minds which are one with Him 

Transformed mind Romans 12:2

Lord talking to me really clearly this morning:

Revelation When God was walking with Adam he was walking in the mind.

I am now hearing him more and more like Adam heard him and we can all have that.

He walked in the natural with Adam as well at times.

When the fall occurred the mind connection was cut because Adam needed redeeming which we get through Jesus.

As we get close to him he opens up this mind connection like Adam had pre fall.

Christ in me transformed mind through Jesus

The child like mind

 Matthew 18:3

and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

 Converted in this verse relates to transformed in Romans 12:2

 Mark 10:15

“Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

The Lord is showing me recently what it is to be a child with this conversion and mind

Recognise He is the Father and in control

He does it not me – kill the pride, kill the self importance and be a true king

Humbleness

Put yourself in His hands totally

Spend time with Him

He wants us as a child to move to the Kingdom, it is not possible otherwise.  And this is a different mind set a transformed mind.

 

Philippians 3:12

 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

 

We push on to the transformed mind.  Lord take what is in our mind that is not of you and move us to the mind of Christ.  Let our mind be in a state that you can use it to complete the things through us you made us to do.
