GOD’S POWER IN US

Have you ever had those visions where it is so real and you actually feel like you are in the vision. Two examples for me from my notes:

Tiger Vision
This morning a very quick but real vision of a tiger walking through tall grass in absolute control. I was in the tiger in the power of the Lord and I could feel what the tiger felt an amazing powerful position.
Marlin Vision
This morning vision of the ocean blue and flat (don’t normally get visions this vivid). Then a quick splash as a marlin breaks the surface, then suddenly I feel the power of the marlin and I am hit with the power of The Lord. I feel like I am the Marlin in the water gliding effortlessly in the ocean. Just a few seconds but so powerful.
There is a power we walk in. These last two weeks I have known I am in battle and I have said a couple of times to the Lord where is the power? Why am I not feeling the power to overcome this.

His answer was to take me a couple of times to 2 Corinthians chapter 12.

Verse 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

I feel at this time He is really showing me this. He is a friend who loves us and shines through us when we are weak and on our knees and we know it is all Him that does it. Then watch Him work in our lives.

It then says in verse 10 “that the power of God may rest on us.” It is from this position of weakness that the power then comes from the Lord not us. It feels like the tiger or the marlin where He is doing it and taking us for the ride and He says to us “enjoy it, go with my flow let me take the weight of your shoulders and the enemy will crumble before you because my light will shine through you and the victory will be yours. This is how we walk son.”

You then go onto 2 Corinthians 13:3
…since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you. 4: For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

When Jesus was at His weakest on the cross He was living by the power of God. When we are at our weakest and we understand it is all Him none of us then we are in the power of God because all us has been taken out of the way and His will is completed in His power.

This is what the Lord has been showing me this week.

He reinforces this idea through other scripture and Ideas

1 Chronicles 17:23
Do as thou has spoken.

Ezekiel 12:25
For I am the Lord. I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass; it will no more be postponed; for in your days, O rebellious house, I will say the word and perform it,” says the Lord God.”

Luke 1.38
Be it done to me according to your word. No word of God will be without power.

I know that I stand in the power of the Lord. Christ in me gives me all power. Watch out anything which is not of Him, as it has no place in me or my life. I know what I stand in and when I stand in only Him it will be performed.

(old note of mine) He showed me the need to work last night. This morning in 1 Kings he shows me the widow working and being blessed. The Lord says to me He will bless my work. His hands will be upon my work. Also the message is to stand and ask like Elijah did. As we are told in Psalm 91. Stand and ask. He held out His hands and gave me fire this morning, a flame. “This is power I give you.”

When we step forward in faith and do work in His will He will provide power to do it. James 2:22

Not in words but in power

Reading Tozer’s “Danger’s of a shallow faith”. The Gospel comes to us not in words only, but power. Page 187-189. We can expect to have more than preaching. We can expect to have the Word in power. The preacher in turn can expect that the listeners are so close to God that the Word of God can work in power. For the kingdom of God is not in words; the kingdom of God is in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

My note. This won’t happen unless we are face to face with Him and we have surrendered and been sanctified had the dross burnt off.
Ephesians 3:20
Now to him is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

We have all the power but it is again faith and we take it as a reality not a thought or idea. He gives us according to our belief.

Luke 6:19
And the whole multitude sought to touch Him for power went out from Him and healed them all.

There was a presence. That presence is in us. We walk in that presence. Believe. Be face to face, all of Him none of us.
Vision

Rose that opens up

Open up and receive him

Petals going out like fury, Hurricane coming.

Amazing power released.

Lights shining everywhere
Power coming for those who have decided to go beyond being the called to being the chosen. Seek Him, seek Him because He comes in the night to check your heart to see where you truly are at Psalm 17:3
You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried and found nothing;..
Vision

Horse rearing up and running
Vision of a track. His chosen are going to run in power down this track and be unstoppable

Vision

Cocktail glasses filling up.

Individual mix for each person to suit the path they are going down

“Now I do this” says the Lord

Unstoppable power coming “I am going to release this to those who seek me with all their heart and soul.”

I see the horses racing across the land. All coming at once. A team released in power His power as they have given themselves up to allow Him to shine through them.
1 Thessalonians 1:5
For our gospel did not come to you in word only but also in power and in the a Holy Spirit and in much assurance …
Hebrews 9:17
For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives.

If our flesh still lives then how shall His power work through us? In our weakness is His strength.

As we die more to ourselves. The old wine is replaced with new. Christ becomes all in us them we are dead and the power is there.

If we are still in ourselves then the power is not there.

Let us glorify you Father and let all of us be dead to our old man so that we can walk in the full power.

Jesus did not have all the power until after God raised Him from the dead.

Acts 2
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

One accord in one place and the power came.
These guys were already walking in some power as they had been out and ministered when Jesus was with them. They had healed and cast out demons but now they received a bigger power a fire as they sat in one accord.

This is what we will get. Be in one accord with each other, be in one accord with Him and when it is truly Him then walk in His power.
