This morning the Lord was showing me the following in His word.
Luke 19:11-27 (parable of Minas)
11 Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.
God wants to let us walk in the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
But if you have been like me you want it now (immediately) but He needs to know we are good stewards so the parable of the Minas is about Him watching us with what He has given us. Those that have done well with what they have been given and can be trusted will be given more. It doesn’t matter how much you have been given but do something with what you have even it is just your ability to communicate.
You may have been given words of how you will walk or what is coming to you so you push in because you expect it now. But He is only going to release what He feels you have proven you can steward and He wants to know that you have used well what He has given you already.
This ties in with 2 Corinthians 8
10 And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago;
11 but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.
He has given us what we have at the moment and He wants to see us use it. Completing what we can with what he has given us.
A few nights ago I had been asking about one project He has given me to do as I felt it wasn’t moving ahead as quick as I felt it should. His words were “have you done all you can with the resources I have given you?”. I thought about this and said yes I had. He said “excellent now you will wait until I give you more and then you can complete more”.
He wants to know we are stepping in faith with what we have been given in the territories we are in.
He then has a point where He calls us to see how much we have gained achieved.
He will then decide if we are ready for further release.
This is an ongoing process part of the sanctification process.
Let me be ready for more God.
