His word
1 Kings 8:9
Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
Right in the centre of the Holy of Holies was His covenant. When all was stripped back, the only thing left was His covenant with Israel. And this is our God whose nature is such that He will ensure what is covenanted, what is spoken is delivered. He has spoken much over us and His nature, His love for us will ensure that these words will be delivered.
Let us make the dwelling place, that is to say us, so holy that the Word of God is present.
10 And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the Holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord,
11 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
Let your glory fill us. Let us shine as the brightest light.
13 I have surely built You an exalted house, and a place for You to dwell in forever.
Let us as the temple be as this place for Him to dwell in forever.
29 that Your eyes may be open toward this temple night and day, toward the place of which You said, ‘My name shall be there,’
